How it works
Processing for this tool
This tool uses temporary SentryPDF server processing on Fly.io in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Temporary files are configured for 30 minutes and the cleanup sweep runs every 60 seconds.
If the file is highly confidential, prefer a browser-local tool or browser-local mode when one can do the job well.

Marked areas are permanently redacted: overlapping text, covered graphics/image pixels, metadata, and embedded files are removed. Review each page before sharing because content outside your redaction boxes remains unchanged.

Phrase search works on selectable text in the PDF preview. For scanned or image-only pages, use draw-box redaction or OCR the file first.

Quick detectors run browser-local regex search on selectable text only. Use them for common identifiers before export.
Detectors can add false positives or miss unusual formatting. Review every marked page in the preview before permanent redaction.
